Other fellow JAM members had similar experiences as I did, and are just as content.
“It was a fun filled yet very challenging experience. The basic counselling skills and important
concepts were taught and demonstrated well. The best part was that it was an interactive session
where everyone’s opinions were asked and valued. We were given an opportunity to bond with all
other JAM members and we learnt important rules about teamwork. The teachers were extremely
helpful and understanding and the program was a success. This program was amazing for honing
our skills as a JAM member in particular and as an adolescent in general.”
Nimisha Nagpal, JNS-ISC, Grade 11.
“JAM was a great opportunity for us to polish our good intentions with the technique and
knowledge needed to implement in the correct way and effectively help people. It made it possible
to view human nature objectively, which really pushed us to becoming more capable leaders and
mentors.”
Aliya Kamran, JNIS-IBDP, Grade 11.
The JAM Interpersonal Skills Training Camp was a new and challenging experience for each
student and has taught each one values and skills that they will utilise and integrate into their
personal and professional lives, allowing them to be better JAM members and students.
